Bad weather causes upset at Alaska’s Iditarod

Seventy teams competed in the ten-day race that covered 1,600km of some of the world’s roughest terrain.

What is described as “the last great race” has come to an end in Western Alaska.

It is a grueling dog sled journey that tests the skills of the competitors, both human and canine.
