Facebook turns 10 but is losing younger users

The world’s biggest social network boasts more than 1.2 billion members but users are getting older.

Facebook is celebrating a milestone – its 10th birthday.

Launched by a group of friends as a tool for college students, the social media platform now boasts more than 1.2 billion users.

It is the world’s biggest social network, with one in every seven people now connected across the globe.

But while it continues to thrive, one thing that has changing is the age of the average user.
