A civil liberty group takes Utah to court over states’ decision to halt gay marriages.

A civil liberty group has sued the state of Utah over its U-turn to halt on gay marriages, in the latest battle in the United States over the legality of same-sex marriage.

A total of 17 out 50 American states allow gay marriages.

Gay married couples in the states of Oklahoma and Utah are in limbo, as the courts decide on whether to allow it or not.
