Pressure is mounting on the US Congress to restore extended jobless benefits.

Nearly 1.6 million Americans lost their benefits this month alone. It is predicted that number will more than triple by the end of the year.

Al Jazeera's Kimberly Halkett reports from Washington, DC on how some of those affected are fighting back.
