US community pioneers renewable power

A neighbourhood in Texas uses high levels of alternative energy and monitors its efficiency.

    Pecan Street, located in Austin, Texas, functions as a pioneering test ground for use of alternative energy and claims to be one of the most efficient grids in the world.  

    In the neighbourhood, solar production and electric consumption are measured and analysed, providing better insights on use of energy.
