UN urges regulation for 'killer robots'

United Nations calls for world's Lethal Autonomous Robots to be regulated.

Robots that attack and kill have long been the stuff of science fiction and Hollywood movies.

In fact, Lethal Autonomous Robots are real and used, to some degree, in warfare today.

A UN report is now urging for global regulation to oversee such defence systems.

Al Jazeera's Gerald Tan explains.
