Despite the economic downturn, there are some places in the US that are slowly recovering.

The US southern city of Miami is seeing its tourism industry picking up again.

And its real estate market, which was one of the hardest hit in the country, is also showing some signs of progress.

Al Jazeera's John Hendren reports from Miami.
