Obama pushing for gun control measures

US leader reiterates need for stricter laws, saying Newtown massacre was worst day of his presidency.

    US President Barack Obama has used a television appearance to push for new gun control measures.

    His remarks follow the shooting of 20 children and six adults this month at a school in Connecticut.
