Rewinding history with VHS tapes

Family-owned store provides Queens residents in New York with tapes of films not yet transferred over to new media.

For more than 20 years the Video Home System, VHS, reigned supreme for film buffs who wanted to enjoy the classics and latest blockbusters from the comfort of their own homes.

But with technology advancing, DVD, Blu-Ray and streaming services have quickly rendered the bulky VHS all but obsolete.

For some, however, the nostalgia of the black tapes keeps them turning to the format they grew up with.

Al Jazeera's Scott Heidler reports from Queens, where one family-owned shop helps people rewatch movies that have not yet made their ways on to newer formats.
