Canada's growing debt woes

Canada surpasses the US in consumer debt, as government asks citizens to borrow less.

    Canadians are being told by their government to borrow less money, as household debt has climbed to near record levels.

    It is a bit of a blow for an economy that weathered the financial crisis better than the most.
