Efforts to preserve birthplace of Arab American culture in New York City under way.

The US city of New York has a neighbourhood for almost every ethnic group, from Chinatown to Little Italy. But only three buildings remain from an area once known as Little Syria.

Efforts are underway to try and preserve what some consider the birthplace of Arab American culture.
