NASA's Space Shuttle Endeavour rocketed into orbit on its final mission on Monday.

It was a picture perfect launch for the orbiter as it embarked on a 16-day mission before retiring to a science center in California.

Al Jazeera's Scott Heidler was at the Kennedy Space Center for the launch.
