Barack Obama, the US president, has spent the second day of his Latin America tour in the Brazilian city of Rio de Janeiro.

He has been trying to bolster ties to boost the economic, security and political interests of the United States.

Al Jazeera's Gabriel Elizondo reports from Rio.
