A growing number of South African youth are learning to skateboard as a means of learning discipline.

In South Africa, kids from poor neighbourhoods are often exposed to crime at an early age.

Even though skateboarding is seen in South Africa as a sport largely enjoyed by white people, a group of children are taking up a new sport to keep themselves off the streets and out of trouble.
