The end of the London Games sees thousands of people line the streets to pay tribute to their Olympic and Paralympic heroes. 

Despite various concerns before the 2012 Games, both events have seen a gold standard on and off the field of play. And even better than that they have raised the spirits of a nation which now looks to build a lasting Olympic legacy.
