Bangladesh delays hire of new coach

Shaun Williams will continue in his role as interim leader of national cricket side.

The BCB is currently led by a 12-member interim committee headed by Major-General Sina Ibn Jamali after the government dissolved the previous committee on Sunday.
 
The preferred candidates for the committee include Australians Jamie Siddons and John Harmer and Zimbabwean Dave Houghton.
 
Bangladesh’s circket team has needed a new coach since Sri Lanka-born Australian Dav Whatmore declined to renew his contract in May.
 
Whatmore had been coach of Bangladesh since 2003 and in March led the national side to the second round of the World Cup for the first time.
