South Africa’s World Cup was a great event, but what legacy has it left for the women of the Global Girl media project?
The Global Girl media project brought together a diverse collection of young girls to cover the South African World Cup.
It gave them training and access to one of the biggest sporting events in the world. In the original Kick It Up we discovered how dynamic the experience was and how personal the program became.
After the end of the World Cup, Tebogo and the other girls who have been part of the Global Girl media project are all nearing the end of their time in the programme and making plans for the next part of their lives, university and jobs.
One year after the World Cup in South Africa, Tebogo looks back to her time as a Global Girl reporter and shows us how the media project changed her personally. We take a look at what has happened in Tebogo’s life and where she will go to next.
