Watch part two

Prison takes its toll on more than just the prisoner alone. For those families living with someone incarcerated there is the constant strain of waiting for the inmates reaching the end of their sentence.

For the children of inmates the waiting means time without their parents and lost opportunities to create a lasting relationship.

Troop 1500 is the story of a unique girl scout troop in Texas that brings daughters and mothers together behind prison walls.

The major goal of troop 1500 is to strengthen the bond between mothers and daughters in order to break the circle of crime.

Troop 1500 aired on Thursday, July 9, 2009.
