Wearing a headscarf and a shirt that read, "Salam, I come in peace", Rose Hamid was forcibly removed from a rally in support of US Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump last week.

As Hamid was escorted out of the auditorium, the crowd began chanting "Trump, Trump, Trump," with one man asking if she had a bomb.

Increasingly criticised for his anti-Muslim rhetoric, Trump has called for a ban on Muslims entering the United States and said Muslims should carry special identification cards.

Speaking to Mehdi Hasan in this web special, Hamid says, "There is definitely an anti-Islamic movement in America ... which is demonising Muslims."
