In June, PLO Secretary-General Saeb Erekat said the Palestinian Authority (PA) would disband by the end of the year if there was no two-state solution. As December nears, will Erekat follow through on his commitment?

In this week’s Headliner preview, the Palestinian chief negotiator warns the PA is on the verge of shutting down.

"We are an authority without an authority," Erekat tells Mehdi Hasan.

When pressed on whether the PA will disband, he says, "soon, very soon, you're going to hear some decisions".

"Soon enough Netanyahu will find himself the only [one] responsible between the river Jordan and the Mediterranean because he’s destroying the Palestinian Authority," Erekat adds.
