Three years ago the scene of devastation in Galle was one of thousands from across Asia which helped put the scale of the tsunami disaster into context.
One of the most beautiful stadiums in world sport was swept aside by natures hand.
Since then the future of the venue has been in doubt, but now international cricket is poised to return.
The tsunami affected millions of lives across Asia, particularly in the Indonesian city of Banda Aceh.
It was there that an incredible story of human survival prompted the intervention of the footballing world.
Sportsworld’s Rahul Pathak reports.

Muttiah Muralitharan began Sri Lanka's series with England on the verge of becoming the highest wicket taker in test match cricket.
Fittingly he achieved the landmark on his home ground in Kandy, and Sportsworld was there to bring you the inside story on Murali's world record bid.
