Watch part two

In a world of war and conflict, is the idea of waging peace naive?

On Monday's Riz Khan show we talk to two of the world's leading voices on conflict resolution, Johan Galtung and Alvaro de Soto.

Galtung, a Norwegian mathematician and sociologist, is also one of the founders of conflict resolution studies - defining the concept of 'positive peace'.

De Soto, a 25-year veteran of the UN, served as a special envoy for Myanmar, the Middle East peace process and as an adviser on Cyprus.

We will ask both guests what it would take to bring real peace to Afghanistan, the Middle East and other long-raging conflicts.

This episode of the Riz Khan show can be seen live on Monday, November 16, 2009 at 2030GMT with repeats on Tuesday at 0030GMT, 0530GMT and 1130GMT.
