Watch part two

On Thursday's Riz Khan we discuss the much anticipated address by Barack Obama, the US president, to the Muslim world.

Expectations are so high that many analysts argue President Obama has set himself up for failure while his opponents at home are already criticising him for conducting an "apology tour".

We talk to Thomas Pickering, a former US undersecretary of state, Saad Eddin Ibrahim, an Egyptian human rights advocate, and Akbar Ahmed, an award-winning author of Living Islam, to find out if Obama's speech is a really new beginning for East-West relations.

This episode of the Riz Khan show aired on Thursday, June 4, 2009.
