Watch part two

Binyamin Netanyahu, the Israeli prime minister, is back in power 14 years after his first term and still pushing for a hard-line agenda.

He is pressing Washington to support stricter sanctions against Iran at a time when the Obama administration is trying to reach out to Tehran.

When it comes to Middle East peace, Netanyahu rejects calls for a two-state solution.

So what does this mean for relations between the two allies? When Netanyahu meets Barack Obama, the US president, on Monday, will the two agendas clash?

On Thursday, Riz Khan speaks with Aaron David Miller, former US State Department official for Middle East peace, and author of The Much Too Promised Land: America's Elusive Search for Arab-Israeli Peace and Ronen Bergman, Israeli journalist and author of The Secret War with Iran.

This episode of the Riz Khan show aired on Thursday, 14 May 2009.
