On Monday’s Riz Khan we look at the growing rift in Pakistan’s coalition government.

Nawaz Sharif, the country’s former prime minister, who leads the Pakistan Muslim League is at odds with Asif Zardari of the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) over the reinstatement of dozens of judges sacked by president Pervez Musharraf.

While Sharif and Zardari wrangle over the judges’ fate, they have found common ground on one issue – they both believe that Musharraf should resign.

Riz speaks with veteran Pakistani journalist and author of Descent Into Chaos Ahmed Rashid about the prospects for democracy in Pakistan.

Human rights attorney and Islamica magazine columnist Arsalan Iftikhar also joins the show.
