Estimates of the death toll in Myanmar following cyclone Nagis are now over 100,000.

As countries around the world offer up aid to assist with the devastation, politics seem to be hindering relief efforts.

Myanmar’s military government has not issued the necessary visas for some foreign aid agencies to enter the country and France has started discussions about invoking a UN “responsibility to protect” clause and delivering aid directly, bypassing the government of Myanmar.

On Thursday’s Riz Khan we look at the situation in Myanmar and what can be done to help its people.
