Sheikh Hamza Yusuf [Mikael Pittam, 2006]
A former advisor to the White House and 10 Downing Street, Sheikh Hamza Yusuf is quickly becoming one of America's foremost Islamic scholars.

After his conversion when he was 17, Yusuf spent more than a decade in the Arab world studying Islam.

Today his lectures draw standing-room only crowds in auditoriums and coliseums around the globe while his reality show attracts over 80 million viewers.

And when he is not publishing books or writing articles he is working on establishing the first Islamic seminary in the United States.

On Wednesday, Riz asks Sheikh Hamza Yusuf about his growing role as bridge-builder between Islam and the west and the controversy that comes with it.
