Dennis Kucinich is a Democratic congressman who argues for an immediate withdrawal from Iraq, urgent measures to heal the environment and the provision of universal healthcare for Americans.

He is considerably behind most of the eight Democratic candidates for president (elections will be held in November 2008) in fundraising and public opinion polls, but he continues to promote his progressive ideas around the country.
