Dr M Magaryaf wants Libya to return to what it used
to be - a constitutional and democratic monarchy

Dr M Magaryaf used to be a Libyan ambassador and minister in colonel Gadaffi's government. In 1981 he fled to Morocco and founded an opposition political party with the aim of overthrowing Gaddafi's regime.

Dr Magaryaf's life in exile saw his brother disappear in Egypt and many assassination attempts on his life.

He later resigned as the party leader and moved to the US, where he is currently documenting a history of Libya - and waiting to go home.

A revealing portrait of one of Libya's most legendary opposition leaders.
