Lifelines

AJE and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation

Highlighting the work being done to control and eliminate the diseases and conditions that affect the lives of millions.

Lifelines is a cross-platform television series and digital project that is made partly with support from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.

It is editorially independent and its purpose is to engage global audiences around solutions-based health stories, with particular reference to the diseases and conditions that blight the lives of millions of the world’s poor.

The television series shows some of the extraordinary work being done on the ground in Africa and Asia to control and eliminate these diseases and conditions. The digital and social media project aims to engage online communities with this subject matter in ways that deepen understanding and knowledge.

Unless otherwise stated, the views expressed in the films and on the digital platforms are solely those of the individual contributors featured and not those of the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. Al Jazeera retains complete editorial independence in all Lifelines productions.
