Nigeria’s abduction saga

The army said it has rescued a number of girls kidnapped by Boko Haram, but none of them are of the Chibok schoolgirls.

More than 677 females have reportedly been rescued this week, as the Nigerian military continues its campaign to push Boko Haram out of its strongholds in the Sambisa Forest.

The Nigerian army, helped by troops from neighbouring countries, has managed to take back control of towns in northeastern Nigeria that had proviously been held by the armed group.

So can Boko Haram be defeated one day? And how will the newly elected President deal with it?
