Will elections fix Ukraine’s problems?
After months of conflict and instability, Ukrainians are set to vote for a new parliament.
Sunday’s vote in Ukraine is the country’s first parliamentary election since street protests late last year forced former president Viktor Yanukovich out of office.
The crisis that followed has had its toll on the country. At least 3,000 people have been killed, the Crimea region has been annexed by Russia, and a separatist movement was born in eastern Ukraine.

President Petro Poroshenko said he pressing ahead with a plan to end the conflict with separatists, establishing what he called an understanding with Moscow and pursuing a course of European integration.
But how realistic are these goals? And will the election fix or worsen Ukraine’s many problems?
