Watch part two

The man who vowed change for the US has set his sights even further - a world without nuclear weapons.

Barack Obama, the president of the US, has called for a global summit on nuclear security and the forging of new partnerships to prevent the spread of nuclear weapons.

Is Obama realistic when he speaks of a planet that would never again live under the shadow of the mushroom cloud? Especially when his own country has a high number of nuclear weapons itself, and seems intent on deciding who should and should not have access to nuclear technology?

Inside Story asks if Obama's aim of a nuclear-free world is an achievable objective, or just a lofty dream.

This episode of Inside Story can be seen from Monday, April 06, 2009.
