Zardari is  taking power in the world's only nuclear-armed Islamic state [GALLO/GETTY]
Asif Ali Zardari, the widower of the former prime minister Benazir Bhutto, has won a sweeping victory in Pakistan's presidential election.

Zardari is the right man to lead Pakistan in such turbulent times and can he, with a tarnished past, turn a new page and prove he is truly a statesman?
