Ehud Olmert  has ruled out a truce, describing the
fight against Hamas as 'true war' [AFP]
Ehud Olmert, Israel's prime minister, says he will continue to resort to force to prevent the firing of rockets into Israel by Palestinians from the Gaza Strip.
 
But two of his cabinet ministers believe Israel should consider any truce proposal with Hamas.

We look at the options available to the Israeli government and the ramifications of maintaining the status quo.
