As world leaders arrive in NY to participate in the annual session of the UN General Assembly, we take a closer look at the General Assembly itself, how it functions, its impact and influence on the world community.

We ask: is the world frustrated and impatient with the General Assembly and why? Can the UNGA be reformed? But what can reforms accomplish when the major world powers are keen on maintaining the status quo? Have the fringe meetings that take place on the side of the GA session become more important and more productive for world peace and stability?
