Most of us travel by air at some point.

There have been many claims that it contributes greatly to global warming.

But now airlines are hitting back with a study saying planes are responsible for no more than two per cent of greenhouse gases.

Environmentalists believe that is nonsense.

So who is right and who is wrong, and what considerations should passengers take on board?
