The ruling has angered Bolivia's president
Last week football's world governing body FIFA announced it was banning international matches from being played at altitudes higher than 2,500m (8,200ft).

It is a ruling which has prompted Evo Morales, the president of Bolivia, to lace up his football boots in protest.

As Rahul Pathak explains, officials in Ecuador, Colombia and Peru are not taking the decision lightly either.

The ancient martial art of Muay Thai is one of the toughest sports on the planet.

It is an almost no-holds barred form of fighting but in recent years it has been overshadowed by standard kick boxing and K-1.

But as Wayne Hay reports from Bangkok, Muay Thai officials are trying to preserve the skills and rich history of Thailand's national sport.

Golf's second major of the season begins next week at Oakmont - considered the most difficult course in North America.  Justin Rose is one player tipped to do well.

The 26-year-old has jumped over 50 world ranking places in the last six months and came painfully close to winning the Master's at Augusta earlier this year.

Sportsworld's Carrie Brown caught up with Rose ahead of the tournament to talk tactics, psychology, and his chances of a first major victory.

Chess City

The tiny Russian republic of Kalmykia is one of the poorest in the federation.

It has virtually no industry and very few natural resources.

It is the only region in Europe where Buddhism is the major religion.

But as Jonah Hull reports, Kalmykia is also remarkable for its flamboyant president's devotion to the game of chess.
