The US president Barack Obama and his military advisers face tough decisions on how to proceed, with both calls for an increase in the number of troops on the ground and pressure to withdraw.

The debate over US and Nato strategy in Afghanistan continues to rage and now it is your chance to take part and make your voice heard.

Al Jazeera's Avi Lewis will host a special town hall style meeting in Washington DC that will be recorded and televised on the current affairs show Fault Lines as well as on Free Speech TV.

The debate will take place at the Newseum, 555 Pennsylvania Avenue on Wednesday November 11 at 1230ET.
