In a special debate in Washington DC that will be televised as part of Al Jazeera's current affairs show, Fault Lines, Avi Lewis looks at the role of race in the present US recession.

We ask how minority communities have been affected by the economic crisis and whether US president Barack Obama is the right man to respond?

The Reverend Jesse Jackson will be among the high profile guests attending the town hall meeting and this is your chance to join the debate and get your voice heard.

The debate will be on Friday November 20 at 1500ET at the Newseum, 555 Pennsylvania Avenue.
