Kamahl Santamaria brings you Counting the Cost each week from Al Jazeera English's Doha headquarters.

Kamahl took over hosting duties in September 2009, and since then has taken the show on location a number of times, including a special edition from Dubai as the city's debt crisis unfolded.

He previously presented business and financial news to an Asia-Pacific audience, on the Sky Business Report on Sky News Australia.

Based in Melbourne, Kamahl presented and reported for the nightly show, focusing on the city's major resource and mining players, and some of Australia's biggest retailers.
