Inside Story

Can young activists change the dialogue on Israel-Palestine?

Young Palestinians, and some Israelis, are leading protests and social media debate against Israeli occupation.

Some call them the new face of activism against Israel’s occupation of Gaza and the West Bank that began more than 50 years ago.

Young Palestinians and some Israelis, frustrated by their political leaders, are making their voices heard.

They are at the forefront of protests against Israeli air strikes and the forced displacement of Palestinians in the Sheikh Jarrah neighbourhood of occupied East Jerusalem.

Social media posts on the conflict have been shared hundreds of thousands of times.
