Biography

Lee Wellings is the London-based Sports Correspondent. A journalist and broadcaster for over 20 years, he joined Al Jazeera in May 2011 from Sky, where he was Sports Editor. He has worked on many major sports news stories and events including the 2012 Olympics, and his exclusive interviews with major sports leaders include then-IOC President Jacques Rogge, UEFA’s Michel Platini and FIFA boss Sepp Blatter.
