Building on its victory in Qusayr, the Syrian military has shifted its attention to trying to clear rebel-held areas in Homs and Aleppo.

Government forces are reportedly preparing for a major offensive on rebel-held parts of Aleppo province, which has been the subject of violence over the past few days.
