    As the world's leaders attempt to reach consensus on Libya, fierce fighting continues in many cities and towns across the country.

    Renewed clashes are underway between pro-democracy forces and Gaddafi troops in the east.

    The western city of Misurata remains under siege and is facing a humanitarian disaster.
