Lockerbie case could end in possible release

A Scottish High Court is deliberating whether to grant Abdel Basset al-Megrahi, a Libyan man jailed for the 1998 airline bombing over the Scottish town of Lockerbie, an early release on compassionate grounds or transfer him to a Libyan prison.

The Libyan government has appealed to the Court to consider the two options for al-Megrahi, who is suffering from advanced prostate cancer.

Al Jazeera's Nazanine Moshiri reports.
