Deadly blasts near Baghdad mosques

At least 27 people killed after car bombs explode as Shia worshippers leave mosques.

     

    Violence has dropped markedly throughout Iraq in recent months, but attacks increased in the run-up to the US military withdrawal from urban centres a month ago.

    More than 430 Iraqis were killed in June alone, which is the highest death toll for 11 months.
