Iraq to investigate 'prison abuse'   
 

Prisoners in Iraq are claiming widespread cases of abuse and torture at the hands of their jailers.

At least 300 detainees at a Baghdad facility have gone on hunger strike to protest against "politically motivated" treatment.

Nuri al-Maliki, Iraq's prime minister, has ordered an investigation into conditions within the prison system.
