Poll result triggers protests in Tehran  
 

Violence has rocked the Iranian capital since the announcement of President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad's re-election. Supporters of Mir Hossein Mousavi, his main challenger, have rioted on Tehran's streets, prompting a police crackdown. Ahmadinejad has held a "victory rally" while Mousavi has appealed for the vote's cancellation.
