Violence erupts in West Bank
Palestinian killed and Israeli officer wounded near Qalqiliya town.

No Palestinian group immediately claimed responsibility for the attack on the Israeli civilian.
The West Bank is not included in a truce currently in place in Gaza.
Israel continues to carry out operations targeting fighters in the territory, saying the forces of Mahmoud Abbas, the Palestinian president, are “not yet ready to assume responsibility for security”.
